Pupil Premium
The Department for Education (DfE) provides additional funding to schools in the form of the Pupil Premium Grant (PPG).
PPG provides funding for two policies:
- Raising the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities to reach their potential; and
- Supporting children and young people with parents in the regular armed forces
The pupil premium is additional funding given to publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers.
Proposed Spending for the Academic Year 2023-2024
In 2023-2024 the funding for pupil premium students excluding LAC is £241,155. The main target for this funding is to continue to improve progress, attainment and achievement in the core subjects and to continue to remove barriers to learning for individual Pupil Premium students.
National Tutoring Programme 2023-2024 (Recovery Premium)
In 2023-2024 we are in receipt of £66,792. We use this funding to provide eligible students with small group tutoring for academic catch-up in English, Maths and Science. We track the progress of those students involved through entry and exit testing and overall performance against peers. The tutors we use have all successfully undertaken the certified NTP tutoring training.
