Arthur the Urchin is an original story which I wrote about 10 years ago, but have never tried to publish. It is set in London, in 1665, when the plague had caused those who could, to leave London. Many children would have been orphaned and Arthur has become a street urchin after losing his family. 

Themes of the story include new beginnings, hard work and taking opportunities. Although this is pure fiction, I have tried to show aspects of social history and London as they would have been at the time.
