Two students from Fulston Manor School came runners up in the prestigious Young Volunteer of the Year Awards 2016 held just before Easter. Hales student Kaylea had been nominated due to the volunteering she does at Whiteleaf Riding Stables. She helps young people with learning difficulties gain confidence with the horses and really enjoys her role. Owen, Morrison House, was nominated as he raised over £1000 for MacMillan Cancer Care by completing a 20 mile cycle challenge. Both students said “It was a great evening and a good experience. We are proud to have come runners up”.
