Fulston Manor School enjoyed perfect weather during their annual Sports Day on Wednesday 19th June. Supporters cheered on their teams and the whole of the school erupted into spontaneous singing when Taylor Swift was played over the speakers.
Refreshments in the form of squash, ice poles and water were sold in aid of Child's Vision, a charity which supports children whose lives are affected by Domestic Violence. Fulstons Cleaner Supervisor, Mrs Claire Hadlow, has volunteered with the charity for many years and was overwhelmed to hear the profits from the day, a fantastic £228.42, were to be donated to her charity. Claire said "I cannot thank the students and staff enough for their generosity. We will, most probably, put this money towards our toy bank. Some children have to flee their homes without anything other than the shirts on their backs. All of the items they hold dear are left behind so this can really help them in a horribly difficult situation. Thank you".
