Fulston Manor School were very pleased to announce recently that we had recently become a referral school for Sittingbourne Foodbank. As such the school is now able to issue vouchers to those who need them. Sittingbourne Foodbank have been providing food and toiletries for those who need them since 2014 and now have three sites running in and around Sittingbourne. In the last year, they have provided over 1250 three-day food parcels to families in need. To support the work that Sittingbourne Foodbank are doing, the school hosted a donation drive and two members of staff and two students delivered the donations on Friday 5th April. Miss Jeffrey, acting DSL in charge of Safeguarding, said “ Foodbanks rely on goodwill and donations from the public and, as a school community, we have provided generously in the past. We are, however, stunned at the amount of food, household items and toiletries which have been delivered to the school in the past week. I would like to say a huge thank you to every student, parent and staff member who has donated”.
