In Art the Year 8’s explored the culture of Africa, particularly; African masks, Masai shield designs, African textiles, the Ndebele Tribe and the artist Picasso, who was influenced by African Art in his portraits.
In Art the Year 8’s explored the culture of Africa, particularly; African masks, Masai shield designs, African textiles, the Ndebele Tribe and the artist Picasso, who was influenced by African Art in his portraits.
Through their creative investigation, the Year 8 students had to produce a personal response to a African mask design that would be made out of card and other found objects.
As you can see, the results are visually fantastic.
