Year 7 students welcomed Kent Police Youth Engagement Officers Ian Henderson and Sherren Reece who ran a hard hitting assembly on knife crime. Ian said “don’t think that carrying a knife is for your own protection. The weapon is invariably used against the carrier with devastating results”. Ian used local newspaper reports to highlight the closeness of some of these dreadful crimes and the consequences of carrying or using a knife as a weapon. With the increase in knife crime, staff at Fulston are more than happy to promote this tour and hopefully we will manage to schedule all year groups in to see it over the coming months.
