Macbeth Makes An Appearance During World Book Day
Staff at Fulston Manor School had to delay World Book Day as they felt it wouldn’t be appropriate to sit, during a Parents’ Evening, dressed as witches, Where’s Wallies, Shakespearean characters and Veruca Salt, to name but a few! Therefore, on Friday 6th March, the fun loving staff donned costumes which brought attention to various global books. Organised by librarian, Mrs Silver, who dressed as Gangster Granny, the school was abuzz with questions from students asking about the characters. Head of School, Miss Burden, was persuaded to join in and wore a very becoming dragon costume which became very animated as she walked. A spokesperson for Fulston said “It’s always great when the staff take part in something the students don’t expect them to. The looks on the faces of the younger ones especially is priceless”. As a department the winners would have to be the English Department, who made the cast of Macbeth come to life.
