Year 8 Morrison Student, Marcus Duplock, recently travelled to Holland to attend the Dutch Open Taekwondo Championship recently. This is a large European Championship with over 700 competitors from 23 Countries featuring many national teams. The standard is always very high and unfortunately Marcus lost his first fight but, as usual, put in an outstanding performance never giving up even after receiving treatments for a bloody nose. Marcus, who gained his black belt last year, was not daunted. The experience gained will no doubt help him in his upcoming competitions, the next being an International Open on February 8th.
