Year 12 student Kane Blackwell is honoured to be travelling to the University of York over the weekend beginning Friday 22nd July to take part in the Youth Parliament convention. Kane will listen and take part in the discussions in front of an esteemed audience which includes John Bercow, Speaker of the House of Commons. He, along with other delegates from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales will be voting on various important motions. Kane, who is very politically minded, said “The last few weeks have been so exciting – it is great watching how different people react to changes. I am looking forward to the next few days immensely”.
