On Wednesday 28th November 48 Year 9 students and 4 members of staff took part to a Christmas Market day trip to Amiens in Picardy. They left school just before 7.00am and travelled with Eurotunnel. After a swift crossing, they were lucky to see that the rain had stopped. The market had plenty of stalls where sweet and savoury foods were available as well as arts and crafts from various places in the world. Amiens also had loads of amazing shops and students really enjoyed visiting them and practising their French skills. After a few hours at the market, it was time to head back to England. Rain was there to greet them and students were happy to have taken part to this lovely adventure. Mr Georgin, who led the trip, said “I would like to thank Mrs Collins, Mrs Nokes and Mr Rayfield for their help and support and I am looking forward to repeating this trip next year”.
