On the 13^th October Fulston Manor A Level Historians travelled to Battle to enjoy the re-enactment of the famous Battle Of Hastings – on the virtual 952 anniversary.

During the morning the students got the opportunity to experience various aspects of medieval life from music, food, textiles, living conditions, architecture to weaponry.  In the afternoon they were treated to a “Match-of-the-Day” style re-enactment which involved some 600 actors in full battle wear. Mr McCutcheon and Mrs Wisbey were highly impressed with the students and said “ the enthusiasm and commitment of the students who gave up their Saturday to enrich their understanding of the medieval world was fantastic. It was a great day out.”
