The school was delighted to welcome Samantha Godden, a representative from the London Institute of Banking and Finance, on Wednesday 27th September. The LIBF is responsible for the Financial Studies courses which we have run over many years. We have enjoyed continued success in this area with many students going on to study Finance at university or straight into employment within the industry. Part of Samantha’s visit was to present Year 13 students, Freddie Hyatt and Ash Kapoor, with a £500 award towards a scholarship for achieving A grades in their Year 12 exams. This scholarship part funds undergraduate courses at the London Institute of Banking and Finance should the students wish to continue their studies. Ash and Freddie took full advantage of being able to quiz Samantha about the degrees offered, as it is a strong possibility that they may continue their education at the university. Miss Newsome said “I was so pleased to see the boys receive their awards. Ash and Freddie worked really hard last year and so deserved the recognition”.
