Fulston Manor School is only one of many educational establishments to be involved with the exceptional joint initiative between the British Heart Foundation (BHF) & the South East Coast Ambulance service (SECAMB), to provide mass CPR sessions to students throughout the county. On Monday 16th October 20 students per year group were given training and are now CPR ambassadors who will train up the rest of the school, sharing their new found knowledge with their peers.
We have been given 35 inflatable dummies by the BHF for use with the training and so refresher sessions can be held in the future. Mrs Bourne, Fulston’s senior first aider said “The students are really excited to have been given this amazing opportunity and have given 100% commitment to ensuring they are ready to impart the information to others. They will be sharing their experiences with other school students, friends and siblings etc. We are proud to have been part of this initiative and would like to thank BHF and SECAMB for coming along to Fulston today”.
